Yes, as Andy mentioned this is very easy to do. You can import the unsub list by 'adding/import' and then you just bulk unsub the email addresses. MailChimp has made the import feature so much nicer in the last version!
You can import them and then you can bulk unsubscribe by clicking Lists > Remove People and paste in all the email addresses.
This is what I did when moving from a previous provider.
We've been using another product for email newsletters for the past year (I know, I know, we're moving to MailChimp very soon, I promise!), and one feature of this product has been to keep a list of users who unsubscribed. Is it possible to import...
Okay, in case you haven't noticed already, we got a fix for this in place the other day. So feel free to go on being lazy about your data. We're all about making it easy to be lazy! :)
Thanks Ben, glad it wasn't just me being dense this time ;)
I've been working on some test imports of CSV data in preparation for our official launch on MailChimp. Because we're condensing the number of lists/interest areas that we have, and I'm ...
This is because at MailChimp, we have no bugs.
Seriously, I have no idea where the "report a bug" option went on our contact page. Hmm.
If you post it here, it'll get FWD'd on to the nerds.
Not sure where the proper place is for bug reports - I suspect this isn't it, ("Report an Issue" doesn't seem to qualify) but I wasn't able to find anything via support either. This is a very minor, very esoteric, and probably harmless issue, but ...
There was a bug in generating the country select field that was corrected in our last release, however it was impossible to fix it for people already using the Advanced Forms. All you need to do is do a global replace of "MERGE14_COUNTRYID" with "...
I've implemented a signup form on our site that passes data via the API. I'm using the MC.NET component v1.1.3. Signups work great - I am able to send data to many fields, including the address field, with address sub-items delimited by double spa...
Because of the way we currently determine zip codes to include in segmentation, it's not going to matter what goes in the zip code field. However, to be completely safe, an unused zip code that is not likely to be used should suffice, like 00000 .
Ooh, advanced forms - how'd I miss that?? Thanks, it looks like there is plenty to learn there.
Followup question - do you have a recommendation on what to use for dummy data in the ZIP Code field? I'd love to take advantage of features like segm...
We'd love to be able to "split" the address data type when defining list database elements. This would allow us to do things like require the country field, but make the rest of the address data optional. We've found that most people are happy to ...
