Also, if the Target Lists could sync to groups within a MailChimp list instead of different lists. It will get extremely expensive quickly if we have to make different lists for each segment, since if people are in multiple segments they are double counted in the MailChimp system.

I would echo the comments that list-by-list opt-out synchronization is crucial for any integration solution. In addition, passing back campaign outcomes such as opens and clicks, by recipient, is a top requirements, as logging this within Sugar allows holistic relationship tracking and ongoing segmentation for future activity.

This is some of the best news I've had all week. I have been searching for a MailChimp, Sugar integration for a while now. Opt-Out sync is pretty vital to avoid unintentional spamming. List Sync is the big obvious one (it sounds like you've already got that down) and metrics would be ideal. In a perfect world, I'd love to have a way to tell if someone bounced a certain number of times or see who's been opening emails most frequently to help focus campaigns and help avoid sending to unresponsibe addresses.

Question: Would opt out, opt them out of all lists or just the one they've chosen to remove themselves from? Is there a way to give them options?

I vote for Opt out Automation, if that's what I'm thinking what it is.

Judy,
Our SugarChimp ListSync module does not yet account for opt outs. If someone is removed from the MailChimp list then they are automatically removed from the corresponding SugarCRM target list. Checking the opt-out box in SugarCRM does not automatically occur yet.

Is there a way for MailChimp to connect or sync with SugarCRM for people that unsubscribe or have bounced emails to be automatically opt-out in SugarCRM?
