Thanks, Kinya. We get that request a lot, and we're looking into it. Right now, the economics are such that we do have to pay for each one we run, so giving trials of it are difficult. But we're trying, and we're getting closer. Right now, if users refer other users, they can earn free inbox inspections that way (plus extra credit for other purchases).
Kinya, I've used the Inbox Inspector a few times and it was worth it. I was originally testing emails by sending to Outlook 2007, gmail, yahoo and a home account. I was able to fix any small glitches and tweak the email to look perfect on those 4 systems. but then i gave the Inbox Inspector a try and wow...I saw that on Lotus Notes and Outlook 2000 things looked different. I know a lot of our customers are using Notes and some on groupwise as well. so it was definitely a good thing to use in the beginning. Just my advice. and it's like $30 or so, right? I got approval from my management team to spend the 30 bucks which probably has paid off more than not. A bad looking email on other systems can cost you subscribers and potential sales.
* Embed analytics on the archive.
* Rename items that have been sent.
* Make it easier to create a new theme. (sortof a Add template colors to Theme index)
* Digest RSS Feed, based on some predefined scopes or your own Weekly settings.
* If you record a date on a user, have a message fire out a day before or on the day of the date. Would be great for Birthday/anniversary/days of remembrance.
Thanks, these are some interesting ideas. Couple of notes:
* Re: Easier to create new theme - working on it.
* Digest RSS feed - v4 will have a "weekly/monthly" send option for RSS campaigns
* Birthday/Anniversary - first, this requires the ability for you to even create a field on your signup form that's called "birthday" (or some other kind of "day"). Second, it requires MailChimp to recognize that field as a "date." That wasn't possible before. After v4, it will be possible. This is a major database overhaul, and is the central theme of the v4 upgrade. Once this is past us, we can move on to even bigger features centered around the database. Muahaha.
